Dr. Patrick Bangert

	Dr. Bangert has a Masters in Physics and a Ph.D. in mathematics. He taught as lecturer for statistics at Middlesex University in London. In 1997/98, he was a researcher at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, USA. From 2002-2005, he was an assisstant professor of applied mathematics at the Jacobs University Bremen in Germany. He has conducted research into the optimisation of methods and processes since 1997 and has worked for a variety of large clients including NASA. In 2004 he obtained the professional qualification in project management from Sun Microsystems. Non-proprietary parts of his research have been published in several professional journals.

As a result of his achievements, Bangert obtained a number of international awards and is listed in such reference works as Who's Who in the World and Great Minds of the 21st Century.

His new book Optimization for Industrial Problems explains in detail all the technologies at the heart of algorithmica's product and presents 19 case studies together with industrial partners. These case studies show that mathematical modeling and optimization yield significant benefits.
